  • Sunday at FPC

    July 12, 2015

    8:00 AM (First Light) & 10 AM

This Sunday Senior Pastor Doug Pratt welcomes Dr. Norman Pritchard to our pulpit. Dr. Pritchard will share a message from Matthew 5 entitled “When Jesus Preaches.” Special music enhancing our services will be offered by vocalists Lauren Hargis, Maddie Hargis, Charley Nevaril and Jason Bahr, and accompanist Sheila Phillips.

Norman Pritchard is a native of Glasgow, Scotland and a graduate of Glasgow University in classics and theology. He gained his Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, California) in 1991. After serving churches in Scotland, he was called to be Senior Minister at the Scots Church in Melbourne, Australia. He served there for 16 years, before being called to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan to serve as Senior Pastor/Head of Staff at Kirk in the Hills. He retired from there in November 2014 and took up a position as part-time stated supply pastor at Christ Church of Longboat Key. He is married to Joan, a retired elementary school principal; the couple has two adult children and two grandchildren.

Please note: The FirstLight service (8:00 AM) is held in CenterPoint through the summer months.

CenterPoint worship, in our alternate venue just off the art gallery, is a wonderful option at 10 AM. Those seated in CenterPoint participate fully in the worship services via live video/audio feed from the Sanctuary. The atmosphere is more casual, with coffee and refreshments available. One of our pastors will be present to greet you.

Childcare for the youngest children (6 months to 3 years) is available and Children’s Sunday school for those 3 years to 5th Grade is offered at 10 AM. Parents are asked to check their children in at the Check-In desk, located at the east end of the Narthex, near the entrance to the Family Ministries Center, before the service.

A Time of Prayer & Communion

Sundays at 11 AM • Price Chapel

Every Sunday immediately following the 10 AM service, we offer an opportunity to experience a time of healing prayer and communion. Come to Price Chapel, where one of our pastors, together with members of the Order of St. Luke, stand ready to minister to your needs.
