Sunday at FPC
July 27, 2014
8:00 AM (First Light) and 10:00 AM
This Sunday Senior Pastor Doug Pratt continues his sermon series on “God’s Prescription for Life” (a study of 2 Corinthians) with Part 3: “Champagne in a Paper Cup” from 2 Corinthians 4:1-7. Assisting in worship leadership will be Youth Ministry Coordinator Josh Pelkey and Pastor John McWilliams, Director of Sacred Arts Jeff Faux and Associate Director Peter Lewis. Music will be offered by the Chancel Choir and vocalist Kathy Moffett.
Special guests for this Family Worship Sunday will be the kids who attended this week’s Vacation Bible School program: Weird Animals. They will share highlights of what they learned and sing some of their favorite songs.
There is no children’s Sunday school; children are invited to attend the entire service with their families. Nursery care will be available for the youngest children, age 6 months to 3 years.
CenterPoint worship, in our alternate venue just off the art gallery, is a wonderful option at 10 AM. Those seated in CenterPoint participate fully in the worship services via live video/audio feed from the Sanctuary. The atmosphere is more casual, with coffee and refreshments available. One of our pastors will be present to greet you.
Childcare for the youngest children (6 months to 3 years) is available and Children’s Sunday school for those 3 years to 5th Grade is offered at 10 AM. Parents are asked to check their children in at the Check-In desk, located at the east end of the Narthex, near the entrance to the Family Ministries Center, before the service.
A Time of Prayer & Communion
Sundays at 11 AM • Price Chapel
Every Sunday immediately following the 10 AM service, we offer an opportunity to experience a time of healing prayer and communion. Come to Price Chapel, where one of our pastors, together with members of the Order of St. Luke, stand ready to minister to your needs.
