Sunday at FPC
September 21, 2014
8 AM (First Light) & 10 AM
This Sunday Pastor Steven Grant will lead our worship. His message, “You Call Me Teacher and Lord,” is from John 13. Assisting him will be Pastors June Barrow and Paul Fahnestock, Director of Sacred Arts Jeff Faux and Associate Director Peter Lewis. Special music enhancing our services will be offered by the Chancel Choir and vocalists Jeanne Hill and Jim Patterson.
This is a special Family Worship Sunday. The 10 AM service will include a time for the commissioning of our Preschool and Sunday school workers for their ministry in the coming year, and Children’s Ministry Coordinator Lauren Hargis will share a message with the children. Immediately following, children ages 3 through 5th Grade may depart for Sunday school or remain in the service with their parents.
CenterPoint worship, in our alternate venue just off the art gallery, is a wonderful option at 10 AM. Those seated in CenterPoint participate fully in the worship services via live video/audio feed from the Sanctuary. The atmosphere is more casual, with coffee and refreshments available. One of our pastors will be present to greet you.
Childcare for the youngest children (6 months to 3 years) is available and Children’s Sunday school for those 3 years to 5th Grade is offered at 10 AM. Parents are asked to check their children in at the Check-In desk, located at the east end of the Narthex, near the entrance to the Family Ministries Center, before the service.
A Time of Prayer & Communion
Sundays at 11 AM • Price Chapel
Every Sunday immediately following the 10 AM service, we offer an opportunity to experience a time of healing prayer and communion. Come to Price Chapel, where one of our pastors, together with members of the Order of St. Luke, stand ready to minister to your needs.
