Sunday at FPC

March 14, 2010
7:30 AM* (First Light) | 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM

I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.
Philippians 3:8 (NIV)

We are currently following our winter schedule for worship: identical full services, with choir, are offered at 9:00 & 11:00 AM; for the early risers, First Light is offered at 7:30 AM.

This coming Sunday, Senior Pastor Doug Pratt will preach on From Terror to Love, about the power of Christ to change a life. His scripture text will be from Acts 8 & 9 and Philippians 3.

Our worship time will include a spotlight on the ministry of Compassion International, with an opportunity to hear the story of César Antonio Beltran Morales, a former Compassion child now in graduate school at Moody Bible Institute. Following the service, those interested in learning more about child sponsorship can visit one of several tables in our narthex. Packets will be available for those wishing to select a child to sponsor.

Assisting in worship leadership will be Associate Pastor Paul Fahnestock. Our music is led by Director of Sacred Arts Jeff Faux, Associate Director Peter Lewis, the Chancel Choir, Men’s Choir, and New Horizons Band.

This is also a Family Worship Sunday. The 11:00 AM service will include a Children’s Message, after which children are invited to remain for the entire service or depart for their own programming (Neon Kids). Parents are asked to check their children in for Neon Kids at the Children’s Check-In Desk before the worship service begins.

*First Light* (7:30 AM)

First Light is an early service that includes all the basic worship elements of music, message (the same message that will be preached at 9:00 & 11:00 AM) and scripture, but in a 35 to 40-minute time frame. Those who plan to worship at this earlier time are encouraged to “come as you are” — ready for next thing on your schedule, whether it’s golf, fishing, or attending our Adult Sunday school class. Childcare is provided.
