  • Sunday at FPC

    February 5, 2012

Worship at 7:30 (First Light), 9:00 and 11:00 AM

This Sunday, Pastor Doug Pratt’s message will be “Unique in the Universe,” a careful look at the truths presented in Psalm 8. Assisting in worship leadership will Associate Pastor Dan Oedy (9:00), Associate Pastor Steven Grant (11:00), Director of Sacred Arts Jeff Faux and Associate Director Peter Lewis.  Special music enhancing our services will be provided by the Contemporary Ensemble, the Motet Choir and the Chancel Choir.  Vocalist Kathy Moffett will sing at the early FirstLight service.

This is also “Souper Bowl” Sunday, when youth groups all over the country raise millions of dollars to support agencies that help those in need.  Our youth will also participate in this Souper Bowl of Caring; donations will help support the work of FPC mission partners Steve and Casey Cretsinger, who serve in Guinea, West Africa.

Childcare for children six months to three years is available during the 9:00 & 11:00 worship services. Children's Sunday school for 3-year-olds through 6th graders is offered during the 11:00 service. Parents are asked to check their children in at the Check-In desk (located at the east end of the Narthex, near the Preschool entrance) before the service. Note: "First Light" is an abbreviated worship service at 7:30 AM. Approximately 40 minutes in length, it includes the same message as the later services and music from a featured soloist. The atmosphere is casual, and you're encouraged to "come as you are."

A Time of Prayer & Communion

Sundays at Noon • Price Chapel

Every Sunday immediately following the 11:00 AM service, we offer an opportunity to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion and experience a time of healing prayer. Come to Price Chapel, where one of our pastors, together with members of the Order of St. Luke, stand ready to minister to your needs.
