Sunday at FPC
March 21, 2010
7:30 AM* (First Light) | 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM

“A person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”
Luke 12:21 (NLT)
We are currently following our winter schedule for worship: identical full services, with choir, are offered at 9:00 & 11:00 AM; for the early risers, First Light is offered at 7:30 AM.
This coming Sunday, Senior Pastor Doug Pratt will preach on one of the parables of Jesus in Timeless Tales, Part 1. His message, from Luke 12, is entitled The Successful Failure.
Special music enhancing the service is led by Director of Sacred Arts Jeff Faux and Associate Director Peter Lewis. The Chancel Choir, accompanied by orchestra, will present three great hymns of the faith: Holy, Holy, Holy, How Firm a Foundation, and This Is My Father’s World.
The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for immediately following the 11:00 worship service this Sunday. Items of business include presentation of the 2009 Annual Report, election of a Nominating Committee for 2010, and election of an Associate Pastor Nominating Committee. All church members are encouraged to attend.
*First Light* (7:30 AM)
First Light is an early service that includes all the basic worship elements of music, message (the same message that will be preached at 9:00 & 11:00 AM) and scripture, but in a 35 to 40-minute time frame. Those who plan to worship at this earlier time are encouraged to “come as you are” — ready for next thing on your schedule, whether it’s golf, fishing, or attending our Adult Sunday school class. Childcare is provided.
